Privacy policy

Effective 12 September 2026

Reset Hopium is operated by Eigenvector MB, Lithuania, with the iOS app distributed by Gintautas Zenevskis. For support or privacy requests, email sainttibo@eigenvector.lt.

Data used to run the app

The app creates an anonymous installation account. It does not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location. We store the installation identifier, notification preferences, and reaction records. If you enable notifications, we store a push token to deliver them. Anonymous total reaction counts are visible to other app users.

Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check, and Remote Config provide authentication, storage, delivery, abuse protection, and configuration. These services process installation and technical connection data, including IP addresses. Our Firestore database and application functions are in the europe-west1 region; supporting services may process information in other countries.

Advertising and consent

When advertising is enabled, the app requests non-personalized Google AdMob ads. Ad personalization and publisher first-party IDs are disabled. The app does not request access to Apple's advertising identifier and removes Android advertising-ID permission. AdMob may still process IP addresses, approximate location derived from IP, app-scoped device identifiers, advertising interactions, and diagnostics or performance information for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. The app requests ads only when Google's consent SDK reports that it can do so. Where required, you can accept, reject, or manage advertising consent. You can reopen available choices in Notifications → About & privacy → Advertising privacy choices.

See Google's privacy policy, Firebase privacy information, and AdMob data disclosures for service-specific details.

Why we process data

We process installation information to provide the features you request and protect the service from misuse. Notification delivery follows your settings and operating-system permission. Advertising consent is requested where required. We do not sell your notification preferences or individual reaction records.

Delete your Reset Hopium data

Request deletion by emailing sainttibo@eigenvector.lt with the subject “Reset Hopium data deletion”. Include any installation identifier you have and describe the data you want deleted. Do not send passwords. We may ask for information to locate and verify the anonymous installation; without an identifier, an uninstalled anonymous session may not be identifiable. You can also delete installation data directly in the app using the steps below.

Device settings and reaction records remain until you delete installation data. Short-lived reaction request receipts expire after one day and are removed by database cleanup. Notification delivery records remain for troubleshooting until installation data is deleted. Technical service logs follow the hosting provider's retention settings.

To delete your installation account and its stored data, open Notifications → About & privacy → Delete installation data. This removes your notification token, preferences, individual reaction records, and queued deliveries. Aggregate reaction totals remain because they do not identify you. Continuing in the app creates a new anonymous session with notifications off. Uninstalling the app alone does not request server-side deletion.

Your choices

You can disable notifications or individual categories, withdraw available advertising consent, or delete installation data. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights applicable to you. Because accounts are anonymous, we may need information from your installation to locate its records. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
